I enjoyed paying nearly full price for a product that was nothing but a huge batch of reskins and title-grind bull**** layered over a pointless story and an endless trudge through drudgery toward an ultimately unsatisfying conclusion.
The only thing I regret purchasing so far in relation to Guild Wars. The only fun part of the game is boxing. Hell, Factions is a horrible game, but at least it's a good leveling tool.

Eh I was some what dissapointed. The grind was really a bad thing to do... Anet really took a huge step away from the "everyone can play even someone who only logs on 2 days a week."
"They can still play on even ground with other players who play all week."
Yah..... sure but first you have to grind 40 hours to get max rank in one of the four factions. Or people don't want to play with you!
I still havent gotten max rank in one god damned race, I never will! XD
Though I really bought it for the dungeons. They were better then I thought and some of them are lots of fun.

It had some good points and a lot of bad ones. Most of the graphics were very nice. I also am sympathetic to the nice things said about it by people like Richardt and Huge Manatee. But I tend to the side of thinking it was the worst offering of the four by far. I won't even get into the grind-related complaints or UB or PVE skills generally. But Polymock? POLYMOCK?!? And all of the other silliness?? Dinosaurs and Asura and whatever else they thought to throw in? Um, no thanks, not interested. IMHO, they made it an expansion based on a large proportion of tongue-in-cheek content, very joke-like. Of course also a lot of content was to keep people occupied with time eaters until GW2. It seemed (almost intentionally) to debase what GW was all about. Imo, it became almost a completely different game.
Short answer, imo, if you ignore what I consider the bad parts, it's fine, although very low on replayability. If I just want to relax and unwind a little by playing the game, I spend my time elsewhere than in EotN.

I didn't really like it. I've never understood why Anet did so much to try to move away from what made them successful in the first place. They dropped guild wars for grinding, polymock, and lots of repetitive mindlessness. That, and I know I went through the same dungeon on multiple times, even though I was supposed to be on an entirely different part of the continent.

I found I liked it, going through it first time was a fun experience.
Its is fine when you are first going through the game, or if you have one character, but not so much when you have multiple characters, most of the desirable features of EoTN are locked away with the reputation title tracks.
I guess they are my only issues with EoTN; locked features using the reputation title tracks and that it is not to enjoyable going through the story again and again, but that one is mainly my own opinion.

EoTN was great in many ways. The semi-epic quests were way better than the fed-ex quests in the campaigns. There was the dungeons which were a nice change from missions and gave depth to Tyria, also my favorite title was "Legendary Master of the North" which just consisted of honest play and really represented beating the area, its the most balanced title in the game. The stupid part was the mindless reputation grind, four worthless titles of doing monkey grind that had no place in the game. Then there was the pve skills that broke the game. Don't even get me started on lame ursan.......

The only bad thing about it (as mentioned several times) is the grind. Other then that title system and the associated buffs, the expansion was great. It added dungeons that are terrific, the HoM to carry some (albeit little) of your work on to Gw2, new hero skins (yes some of us do care), consumables... need I go on?
Yes the grind sucks, but you don't 'need' to do any of it. But even if you are hell bent on getting a certain armor set, getting rank 4 or 5 on one single faction is nothing really.

the idea was great, the implementation suckked big time.
they could have done so much more---the story is rushed, the items unfinished and the grind--un-bear-able (sorry had to do that)...
It is a very sad statement that guildwars goes out on that note.
I liked some of it---wished they had worked on it more instead of pushing it out in hopes that it would spark something good in players....not sure they got what they asked for with that one.
As it stands it was certainly NOT worth the price tag it had....heck sorrows furnace was worth waaay more (even though it had no armors or bad skills)....
If it was priced at half of what it was I would say it was worth it, at full nope, so my final analysis.....nope not happy with what we got.

Personally, it felt extremely slap-dashed and poorly executed mostly likely due the pathetic excuse, "We are currently busy with GW2." I was hoping for a 'bang' to finish this chapter but all we got is grind, poorly re-skinned/textured armor, more grind and so-called dungeons (I still have more fun trudging through Sorrow's Furnace even years later).

The other games I beat over the course of 3-4 months, slowly doing most every quest I found.
I beat GW:EN in a weekend. It has no content except grind.
Oh, and PvE skills and Ursan destroyed the skill required in the game.

GWEN is a ton of fun if you're not a title nazi.
But if you happen to be a title nazi, then you'll probably spend most of your time grinding for titles and get sick of it pretty fast.
I have to admit though, it would be a whole lot easier not to be a title nazi if there weren't such sexy PvE skills attached to those title tracks. If anything, that's the major flaw of GWEN: PvE skills attached to title tracks.

I love all of the campaigns and EotN.
The fact that I don't have eveything in the game is what motivate me to play more. I suspect if i have everything handed to me I stop playing a long time ago.
Imagine it, all your character suddenly can just map over to the necessary places and buy the armors, after buying the armor, wait, but you did not do any questing, so where do you get the gold to buy those armor. TADA, online gold purchase. After you have the armor, what else? some people are going to take off all the armors and start dancing in their underwear in town, blocking stairways. basically not playing the game anymore lol.

Storyline-wise, I liked EotN just fine. The areas are all also very, very beautiful and it's a joy just running around and looking at the scenery. The grinding just pisses me off. I'm currently taking a mesmer through because I want Norn armor, so I'll be handing in a book when I'm done to get the required points. Not until I get some stupid amount of points, until my purple bar is high enough? Just make it so that if you finish the campaign, all NPCs everwhere will talk to you, ffs.
Oh, and the only time I use Ursan Blessing is when doing the required quest to get it :P
